ENSA Sessions on the Economics of Conflict, WEAI 2021

The Economics of National Security Association (ENSA) invites the submission of papers for The Political Economy of Conflict session at the WEAI, 2021 (https://weai.org/conferences/view/11/96th-Annual-Conference)

Topics related to security and conflict are in scope, possibly including disinformation, domestic terrorism, effects of terrorism and anti-terror activities, historic experiences during war, cybersecurity, public spending on defense, defense industry contracts, strategies to control nuclear weapons, bioterrorism, insurance against terrorist attacks, labor market aspects of the military, sanctions strategy, development and conflict. Empirical papers with strong theoretical insights (to include analytical narratives) and papers that inform pedagogies are particularly welcome.

ENSA is a professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence in national security economics research. ENSA provides a forum for new ideas and empirical results of economic research applied to national security, defense resource management, and public policy relating to national security and defense. Through a set of professional activities, ENSA aims to advance national security economics research, achieve widespread recognition for the field of national security economics, and enhance national security by providing evidence and expertise for developing public policies.

This meeting’s audience consists of academics from research institutes, military academies, and researchers at defense-related think tanks like RAND and IDA.
